Ryan Fitzpatrick couldn’t help but gush over Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s nuptials while confirming that “Love Story” played while the bride walked down the aisle.

“Yes, and I may have cried. It was very emotional and also very fun and funny, too. So it had all the feels,” Fitzpatrick, 43, told Access Hollywood on Wednesday, July 8, at the ACC Golf Championship presented by American Century Investments in South Lake Tahoe. (Multiple sources previously confirmed to Us Weekly that Taylor walked down the aisle to a string quartet version of her 2008 track.)

Fitzpatrick then debunked the rumor that Swift’s beloved cats were her ringbearers and also denied the idea that Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw the ring to Kelce, 36. Fitzpatrick, however, confirmed that Kelce was the most emotional between him and Swift, also 36.

“That would be true,” he said, before weighing in on whether Kelce shed a tear. “You know, it was kind of far away. It might have been sweat that got in his eyes. I’m not sure, but yeah it was kind of far away, so I can’t tell you 100 percent.”

After the Chiefs tight end popped the question in 2025, Kelce and Swift tied the knot on Friday, July 3, inside New York City’s Madison Square Garden. The pair were surrounded by 1,000 of their closest friends and family while saying “I do” at the famed venue.

“Her brother, Austin Swift, served as Taylor’s ‘Man of Honor’ and Jason Kelce was Travis’ Best Man,” a statement from Taylor’s rep read. “The ceremony joined both families together.”

The ceremony, which was officiated by Adam Sandler, reportedly lasted an hour.

“Taylor was emotional while reciting her vows but kept her composure,” a source shared with Us. “You could tell she put a lot of work and time into writing her vows. Travis teared up more than Taylor. They shared very personal details and anecdotes that some guests had never even heard before.”

A separate insider shared that the couple’s vows created an emotional atmosphere for both the guests and Taylor and Travis themselves.

“The heartfelt vows took everyone back to how they first met and the journey that led them here,” the source revealed. “Both of them were very emotional.”
