Jeah to love! Olympian Ryan Lochte is in a relationship and dating a Playboy model named Kayla Rae Reid, Us Weekly can exclusively reveal.
A source confirms to Us that Reid and the professional swimmer, 31, are together — and there's evidence of their sweet romance on social media. Lochte tagged the pretty blonde last month in an Instagram post of themselves making kissy faces, and even announced their couple moniker. "Red light love!!!" he captioned the photo. "#Rayla."
Reid's Instagram page also includes a few snaps of Lochte, including a cute one of him kissing her on the cheek.
The relationship has evidently turned serious, because she's already met his mom, Ileana Lochte. Lochte posted a photo of the sweet encounter on Wednesday, May 11, and wrote: "Dinner with MY two gems. My mom and @kaylaraereid #BYOsalad #shirleytemple."
The two have been dating since at least March, when Lochte confirmed that he was in a relationship to Us Weekly in an exclusive interview. Though Lochte didn't name Reid as his girlfriend, he told Us that she wasn't a swimmer and seemed enamored with her during the chat.
"I could never, no!" Lochte said of dating any fellow Olympians at an Airweave Soho event in NYC. "I mean, I just never really tried to go out and date. It just kind of happened, but now that I have someone it is stability and it is nice. It's also really nice having someone who isn't all into swimming and doesn't really know much."
He also joked about Reid's reaction to his grill. "She's like, 'You're a knucklehead,'" he said. "There's some things about me I just can't change."
Lochte, who won five medals at the London Olympics in 2012, told Us in the same interview that there are some personal changes he's made since the Beijing and London games. "I'm definitely more mature. Going into the [London] games I was more of a single guy party boy," he recalled to Us. "And now, it's definitely changed. I'm settling down, actually taking care of my body outside the pool and I think that's the biggest thing that I've noticed in my training since 2012. I'm doing things to recover, like Airweave [a mattress pad brand] for one is helping me a lot. I'm eating healthier and I'm getting massages. I'm just doing everything—I'm not going out partying any more."
Keep up with Lochte, his love life and Us Weekly at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
