Sandra Bullock’s kids got in on the Practical Magic 2 fun.

Bullock, 62, opened up about Louis, 16, and Laila, 12, being featured in the movie while posing on the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere on Monday, August 31. “They’re in the movie but not in an obvious way to you,” she teased about their cameos to Access Hollywood.

Bullock then looked to the side and blew her kids a kiss. “Yeah, but not in an obvious way,” she added. “I can’t wait to sort of show them where it is. They don’t know where it is.”

Bullock said she is “unbelievably proud” of her children for starring in the sequel of her hit 1998 film. “What’s amazing is that something happens when you have kids where you stop being the influence on them, and they become the influence on you.”

“Louis, my steadfast moral barometer … I’m always like, ‘What would Louis do?’ When it comes to spotting things and thinking forward, it’s Laila,” Bullock gushed. “It’s like, they’re so completely different, but yet they give me two halves of a whole. It’s amazing.”

Bullock’s kids were at the premiere to support their mom and brought their friends along with them.

Bullock adopted her two kids and later raised them with her late partner, Bryan Randall, who died at age 57 in 2023 following a battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). The actress opened up about how her kids handled the news of his diagnosis in August, sharing during an episode of the “SmartLess” podcast that they “could see” what was happening.

“They’re very, very astute kids,” she shared. “They not only see the physical change, but there’s a behavior that changes in all of us. When I would bring things up to them, it was when they asked and when I could see them see it and ask them what it is that they want to do in this situation. ‘How do you want to handle what you just saw or where you are here?’”

Bullock went on to say that her kids handled it “very differently” from each other. “About two years before Bryan passed, [Louis] saw it was a dynamic that wasn’t healthy for him to be around. So, he’s very evolved, he’s like, ‘You know what, I’m here for you’ … but he chose to just sort of be there and support and help me on the things that were easy [for him]. But he smartly disengaged himself and said, ‘This is a safer space for me to sit,’ and I said, ‘Absolutely, you go. I got this.’”

As for Laila, she was “more bonded” to Randall until “about six months” before his death. “And then she says, ‘Can you please say no when they call me over to go visit?’ and I said, ‘Absolutely, but if you do want to go visit, I will come with you and I will be right there and if you tap out, I’m right there.’”
