It’s been more than eight months since Scott Weiland’s sudden, tragic death in December, and his widow, Jamie, is trying to move on. The photographer posted to Facebook on Monday, August 15, that she’s looking to sell her engagement ring via eBay.

“This is the ring Scott gave me when he proposed,” she wrote, along with a link to the eBay listing. “Eight months into this new chapter of my life, I need to part with it. I am so sad to see it go but it’s a truly gorgeous piece and I would love for it to make someone as happy as it once made me.”

The ring, which is a dazzling 18-carat white gold piece with tiny diamonds dotting the entire band, is set at a price of $8,000 and so far has just one bid.

Fans of the late singer have left a wide array of comments on Jamie’s wall, with most supportive of her decision.

“So sorry you have to part with it,” one commenter wrote. “Hope you get what you need for it.”

“Jamie, so sad you have to part with this beautiful ring. I wished we knew how to help so you could keep it,” another wrote. “I have been listening to the album Scott made with the Wildabouts. You can feel how much he loved you and how happy he was. Have been keeping you in my prayers.”

Weiland died suddenly in his sleep at the age of 48 from what the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s office later determined to be accidental “mixed drug toxicity.” According to a release obtained by Us Weekly, the legendary rockstar had a lethal mixture of cocaine, ethanol and methylenedioxyamphetamine (MDA) in his system at his time of death.

Jamie and Scott tied the knot in 2013 after meeting on the set of a music video in 2011.

“I am incredibly happy. She is incredibly beautiful in every aspect of the word,” he told Rolling Stone in November 2012. “Lovely, smart, passionate. And she loves my kids and I love her son. … She’s the greatest thing that’s happened to me in a long, long time. … I just thought, ‘I have a feeling that I am going to fall in love with this woman.’”
