Serena Williams and Caroline Wozniacki were fierce opponents on the tennis court at the 2014 US Open, but off of it, they became fast friends and comrades.

Williams, 32, faced off against Wozniacki, 24, in the Women's Singles Final, defeating her in two sets, coming off on top with a score of 6 to 3 in both. In an emotional moment, she fell on her back after the win, lying down on the court with her face in her hands.

"The first thing I thought when I was on my back on the court was I hope the score was not 5 to 2," Williams told Us Weekly exclusively at the Women's Champion's Luncheon at JPMorgan Chase & Co. headquarters in NYC of her triumph. "That would be pretty embarrassing!"

Fortunately for the famed tennis star, she hadn't jumped the gun. The friendly competitors continued to spend time together after the big win, and Wozniacki congratulated Williams on the game via Instagram, sharing a photo of the two of them and writing, "Thank you everybody for the incredible support these weeks! It was a good run, unfortunately lost to a better player today! Congrats @serenawilliams on #18, well deserved!"

After the match, Wozniacki said to Williams, "You definitely owe drinks later," and the tennis great, who won her 18th Grand Slam title, followed through. The impressive athletes shared photos via Instagram of themselves out and about, having some post-game fun with Joe Jonas and Gigi Hadid

Williams won't be celebrating for too long, however. The Olympian told Us Weekly that her schedule is hardly slowing down. "The tennis is over and now it's about my passion for fashion," she said.

Said passion will be on display during New York Fashion Week on Tuesday, Sept. 9, when Williams holds her first runway show for her Serena Williams collection. The line is a partnership with HSN and items retail for under $100.

Between her time on the court and her budding fashion career, Williams has little time for extracurricular activities. Love may be Williams' favorite score for her opponent to have, but off the court, romance is far from her mind.

"I don't have time for love," she told Us. While there are rumors that she's in a relationship with her coach Patrick Mouratoglou, she maintained that her focus is on her professional life, adding of her busy schedule and her next travel plans, "I have to go to Wuhan, [China]!" She previously dated rapper Common and moviemaker Brett Ratner
