Get ready for the poshest American Idol ever!
As previously reported, Victoria Beckham will appear twice as a guest judge — during the auditions phase — on the upcoming ninth season of American Idol. Just-released photos reveal how Beckham, 35, mingles with Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi behind the famous judges' table. Also on hand to separate the wheat from the chaff during auditions? Fellow pop phenom Joe Jonas!
As for Beckham, the Spice Girl-turned-fashion-designer had been rumored as a potential full-time replacement for Paula Abdul, who famously left the show after last season. But Beckham told E! News in September that she was never out for the job acquired by Ellen DeGeneres.
"Ellen is going to be fantastic," she said. "For me, I just love the fact that I could dip in and dip out. It was great..I saw so much talent, and to be a part of making someone's dream come true was exciting for me."
And for anyone assuming that the English fashionista would take after the harsh, no-holds-barred manner of fellow Brit Simon Cowell, think again: Beckham says she's a softie a la Abdul.
"I found something good to say about most people," she told E!. "I'm a very spiritual person and I believe you get back what you put out there. I believe in positivity. So even if someone was really not that great, they might have a great pair of shoes on that I really appreciated. I can find something good to say about most people."
