Getting into the Star Wars spirit! Star Wars: The Force Awakens held its much anticipated world premiere on Hollywood Boulevard on Monday, December 14 — and Sofia Vergara and Joseph Gordon-Levitt really dressed up for the occasion!
Newlywed Vergara, who was making her first red carpet appearance as a married woman alongside her handsome husband, Joe Manganiello, looked stunning in a black, fitted Victoria Beckham dress, and channeled Carrie Fisher‘s debut role with her hair pulled up into Princess Leia buns on either side of her head.
“They walked in holding hands and they looked incredible,” one premiere-goer told Us Weekly of the recently married couple’s entrance onto the enormous red carpet, complete with life-sized Stormtroopers, color-changing lightsaber sculptures, and giant lego Star Wars figures.
“Sofia’s giant diamonds were sparkling on her hand,” our spy adds. “She was waving and saying ‘Hola, hola!’ to everyone.”
Whereas Vergara had a hint of fandom, Joseph Gordon-Levitt went all out in a Yoda costume. The 34-year-old actor paired his green-painted face with a bathrobe, Grinch pajama pants, and a beanie.
But while many actors had fun dressing up for the red carpet, it was the stars of the much-anticipated movie who stood out on the red carpet.
