Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello are making wedding plans! And the Modern Family actress is planning a very, very big celebration in the fall.
The actress showed off her stunning engagement ring at the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday, Jan. 25, where she walked the red carpet for the first time as Manganiello's fiancée.
The stunning actress, 42, wore a curve-hugging, red, Donna Karan Atelier gown and was accompanied by her handsome, tuxedo-clad Magic Mike fiancé Manganiello.
Unfortunately for Vergara, she and her fellow Modern Family cast were beaten to the award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy by the Netflix series Orange is the New Black.
But as the Colombian-American actress revealed while walking the red carpet, there’s already more than enough to celebrate thanks to her new engagement.
"You know with me it's all about the bling bling so he knew what I needed," Vergara told Access Hollywood's Shaun Robinson as she showed off her diamond. "I opened it up and I checked it to see," she joked, acting out biting on the diamond to make sure it was real. "And then I was like, 'Yes!'" she said, grinning. "No I'm joking, he's so handsome that it I would have said 'okay' anyway."
Manganiello, 38, proposed to Vergara over the holidays, sources told Us Weekly, with an insider adding, "He wanted to do it in front of her family." As Us exclusively revealed this past July, the two stars began dating over the summer, after Vergara called off her engagement from ex Nick Loeb.
And the pair don't plan on taking their high-speed romance any slower as they plan for their wedding. While work plans get in the way of summer nuptials, the duo are already gearing up to tie the knot in the fall.
"We're trying right now to figure it out," Vergara told the outlet of her wedding plans. "He's shooting and promoting Magic Mike and I'm promoting my movie with Reese Witherspoon, so we're kind of busy so we're trying to do it maybe [this] fall. This summer is too busy."
Although the date is still slightly up in the air, one thing Vergara is certain about, is that her wedding day is going to be a really sizable celebration!
"It's going to be big," she revealed with a grin. "We started off with 20 [on the guest list], and now there's like pages and pages."
