Nothing but love! Sofia Vergara’s ex-fiance Nick Loeb recently told Us Weekly that he fully approves of her new relationship with Magic Mike XXL hunk Joe Manganiello.
“If it makes them very happy that’s great,” Loeb, 39, told Us at the Blacks’ Annual Gala in Miami Beach on Saturday, Oct. 25.
The supportive comment came just days after the Onion Crunch founder and Modern Family actress had an awkward run-in at the Angel Ball in NYC on Oct. 20. An onlooker told Us that Loeb tried to keep it cordial with his ex (who attended the bash sans Manganiello) on the red carpet.
“I didn’t know you were going to be here,” Loeb was overheard saying to Vergara, 42, at the time. “Miss me?”
Once inside the event, however, the pair — who called off their engagement for the second time in May — kept their distance from each other.
“Nick wasn’t seated very close to [her], but he still had to pass Sofia’s table to get to his seat. He kept a wide berth between himself and her table,” the insider told Us. “And she was laughing [mid-conversation] as he walked by.”
Us broke news in July that Vergara had moved on with the True Blood actor, 37. Last month, the Colombian star joked that she and Manganiello “just watch ourselves” instead of tuning into what’s on TV. “He’s very hot,” Vergara said during an appearance on Live! With Kelly and Michael. “He’s a great guy. He’s very funny, and he’s very entertaining, which is very important for me, because I need to be with somebody who knows how to have fun, because I like to have fun.”
