Where's the genie when you need him? A new poll of American voters suggests that a number of people — both Republicans and Democrats — would support bombing Agrabah, the fictional city from Disney's 1992 animated movie Aladdin.
According to the results, published by Public Policy Polling (PPP) on Friday, December 18, 30 percent of GOP primary voters support bombing Agrabah, versus 13 percent who oppose it. Of Democrats, 19 percent are in favor of an attack on Princess Jasmine's homeland, while 36 percent are against it.
Donald Trump's supporters seem to be the most suspicious of the made-up kingdom, as 41 percent of them apparently favor bombing the sultanate.
"It's a whole new world," PPP President Dean Debnam said in a press release about the poll results. "Republicans who support carpet bombing also support bombing magic carpets."
Per the release, PPP surveyed 532 Republican primary voters and 525 Democratic primary voters on December 16 and 17. The Agrabah question was included among several other queries about current presidential candidates and real foreign policy issues, including Trump's recent call for a ban on Muslims entering the U.S.
