Down, boy! Self-professed cat lady Taylor Swift faced off against her mom’s Great Dane in a hilarious video clip that she posted to social media on Thursday, March 17.
“My mom’s dog is named Kitty,” the 26-year-old “Shake It Off” singer captioned the Instagram video. “And yet, she is nothing like a cat.”
In the funny clip, Swift is sitting on a couch filling her mouth with whipped cream while the dog looks on. Kitty then attempts to get a taste of the sugary stuff, but Swift quickly pulls the canister toward her.

“It’s mine,” she says around a mouth full of whipped cream. “It’s already in my mouth.”
After a few more seconds, Kitty backs off. Swift, one. Dog, zero.
In another clip that the “Wildest Dream” singer posted, the huge black-and-white dog attempts to snuggle up with Swift with a toy in her mouth, but ends up smothering her instead.
“Thank you. Thanks for the hug,” Swift says.

The pop star’s downtime at home was likely a necessary precursor to her busy weekend. On Friday, Swift danced the night away at boyfriend Calvin Harris’ set in Las Vegas.
And on Saturday, she joined Keith Urban to perform at Reese Witherspoon’s epic 40th birthday celebration in Hollywood.
