Taylor Swift and Lorde insist they aren't feuding after an OK! magazine report claimed Swift was frustrated that her best goth friend wouldn't record a duet with her.
Swift was the first to deny the report, posting on Twitter.
Lorde then retweeted Swift and added her own Annie Lennox-inspired two cents.
The possibility of a duet between the cross-continental pals has been out there for a little bit. Lorde spoke about it in February of last year with Capital FM.
"Yeah we are [different]," Lorde said. "But I think the cool thing about Taylor is she is pretty willing to go a lot of places with music. I think that last record [Red — 1989 had not come out at the time] in particular, everyone was like, 'Whoa.' A lot of ground has been covered. And I think with an artist like her, the sky is the limit."

Then again, this was 14 months ago, and still no duet. But if we've learned anything from Taylor Swift's five-album discography, it's that she's at her most creative when she's feeling at least a little wronged. So perhaps Lorde should pick a fight? You know, to get the creative juices flowing.
