Welcome to New York, lovebirds! Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris hit the Big Apple together on Tuesday, May 26, spending a romantic date night in downtown Manhattan.
The two stars got in some quality time over salad and two gluten-free pizzas (one culo di porko and one marinara) to share at Soho eatery L'asso. Swift, 25, dressed to the nines for her night with her new love, sporting a matching crop top and flared skirt in a muted floral pattern. Harris, 31, held Swift's hand and went more casual for the evening out, slipping into a relaxed pair of dark jeans, worn with a black T-shirt and a leather jacket.
Though there were several couples in the restaurant at the time, Tay and her hunky new beau were eventually left to their own devices and had the place to themselves.
"They seemed very comfortable with each other," an onlooker tells Us. "They spent the whole time laughing and looking into each other's eyes." Another eyewitness tell Us the new couple "looked totally happy and in love." They stayed for a few hours, lingering after they finished eating.
Sources tell Us Weekly that the DJ and producer is staying at Swift's swanky Tribeca apartment during his New York City stay. As Us exclusively revealed in April, the two musicians started spending time bonding earlier this year, making it official this spring.
"They're really into each other," an insider tells Us. "Normally when Calvin parties, there are girls everywhere, but he’s completely toned down and is just about Taylor. He's changed because of her — he's much nicer, a lot more calm. He's happy to stay home with her and not be on the scene."
"They spend a lot of nights watching Netflix and catching up on shows they never get to see," the source adds of the two busy superstars. "He had no idea that she would change him so much."
While they kept their relationship quiet in the first few weeks, Harris and Swift have started to go public with their budding love. The coupled-up stars were seen kissing at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards earlier this month, and had a West Coast date night just days before, holding hands in Santa Monica, Calif.
The "Blank Space" singer is prioritizing time with Harris on the brief breaks from her ongoing, massive 1989 World Tour. Swift kicked off the international shows in Tokyo earlier this month, and is scheduled to travel throughout the summer across the globe.
