The dynamic duo was spotted on multiple friend dates all over Los Angeles this weekend. First they enjoyed the surf and sand while barefoot in Malibu, Calif. on Saturday, Feb. 22. Swift, 24, and Lorde, 17, were spotted deep in conversation while on their afternoon stroll and at one point broke out dancing on the beach.

“Looks like they are really becoming friends!” a source told Us Weekly. “My girlfriend saw them at Paradise Cove together this weekend. They were laughing and joking around together.”

Swift Instagrammed a photo with her new bestie with the caption, “Bare feet in the sand on Saturday.”

The fast friends appeared to be coordinating their outfits, with dark bottoms, button-up tops, and shades.

It looks like Swift may have had a fun sleep over with the New Zealand native in her multi-million dollar Beverly Hills mansion. Because on Sunday, Feb. 23, they were spotted out and about together for a second time, this time shopping in L.A.’s star-friendly Brentwood neighborhood.

Swift wore a black dress with white birds printed on and a bright red belt that matched her bold lipstick. Fellow prodigy Lorde wore minimal makeup with an all-black outfit and her long brunette locks flowing down over her shoulders.

The “Royals” singer now joins Swift’s long list of celebrity friends, including Ed Sheeran, Selena Gomez, and Demi Lovato. Gomez, who secretly entered rehab for a non-substance abuse related issue in January, previously had a feud with Lorde, who charged that her song “Come & Get It” objectified women.

“[Lorde is] not supporting other women,” Gomez told Flaunt Magazine in November 2013. “That’s my honest opinion, that’s what I would say to her if I saw her.”
