Teddi Mellencamp is opening up about the “raging” anxiety she’s experienced in between cancer scans.

“So ever since I was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer, I get immunotherapy monthly, and I was getting cat scans and MRIs monthly, but this month, this past time, they decided they’re going to wait three to four months in between the tests,” Mellencamp, 44, said in a video on her Instagram Stories on Monday, June 1. “This has created such a nervous, raging anxiety inside of me.”

The podcaster added that she’s been “sweating through” her clothes, talking fast and “having panic attacks” due to the extreme unease she has been experiencing.

“Like, normally I dread immunotherapy, but I’m [usually] kind of excited to have my test, because I just had one three weeks before. But now that it’s been three and a half months, I feel sick,” she continued.

In a follow-up video, Mellencamp said she also keeps “crying” all the time without warning.

As tears welled up in her eyes, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum added, “I just want to be positive. I want to be like those people that just say they’re positive all the time, but I’m really scared.”

In a third and final clip, Mellencamp said she’s become “really lonely” amid her cancer battle. (Teddi has been navigating the dating scene after she filed for divorce from husband Edwin Arroyave in November 2024 following 13 years of marriage. The exes share three kids — Slate, Cruz and Dove — and she is also stepmom to his daughter Isabella from a past relationship.)

“I started following so many people that have or have had cancer, and you read about what they’re going through, but you don’t really understand ‘til you go through the different phases yourself, and I’ve just hit that point where I’m just exhausted,” she concluded. “I realize there’s probably a lot of you out there that feel just like me, so that’s why I’m posting tonight, not for dramatics, just to tell you I love you, and I’m sorry if you’re going through this.”

Mellencamp was diagnosed with Stage II melanoma in 2022. By 2025, the cancer had metastasized to her brain and lungs, progressing to Stage IV. After undergoing multiple brain surgeries, radiation and immunotherapy, Mellencamp revealed in October 2025 that she had “no detectable cancer” on her scans, although she is continuing immunotherapy for now.

“I’m not considered in remission or anything like that,” she said on her “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast at the time. “When they told me, I was in such shock. I was, like, numb.”

Mellencamp has continued to share updates on her cancer throughout her journey. In April, she showed off her surgery scars and hair regrowth.

“Now what? The hair is too long for the wigs,” she said in an Instagram video. “And I’m sick of the wigs, but, like, what are we supposed to do here? I can’t. Someone send tips.”
