What’s the big deal? While Teresa Giudice and her husband, Joe, still owe money to the IRS after being convicted of fraud, their lawyer, James Leonard Jr., tells Us Weekly that they plan to pay off their debt as soon as possible.

“We have worked out a re-payment schedule to ensure that every penny owed will be paid in full,” Leonard tells Us in a statement. “This has been done for quite some time.”

According to TMZ, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star, 44, was hit with a tax lien for $23,365 back in February, two months after she completed an 11-month prison stint at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut. Subsequently, Joe, 44, was informed in April (one month after he began his 41-month prison sentence) that he still owes $238,269 in taxes. Joe reported to the Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey, on March 23.

As Us Weekly previously reported, the Turning the Tables author — who visited her spouse for the first time in prison on April 15 — has been focusing on the couple's daughters, Gia, 15, Gabriella, 11, Milania, 10, and Audriana, 6, since Joe left.

“It’s very lonely in the house without Joe there, but since Teresa has just finished filming, she’s back in her element and able to take the girls to all their activities," an insider told Us at the time of her visit. "She’s back in full-on mom mode."

The Real Housewives of New Jersey returns to Bravo on Sunday, July 10, at 8 p.m. ET.
