Two unidentified victims are dead following a helicopter crash in Mendoza, Argentina, on Saturday, December 12. The copter was en route to a filming location for the MTV reality competition series The Challenge.

MTV tells Us Weekly that those killed in the crash were neither cast nor crew and that the helicopter was subcontracted by MTV and Bunim/Murray Productions. The copter crashed into the water while “en route to a shooting location,” MTV tells Us.

The network adds that the pilot and one passenger on board died in the accident.

“The thoughts and prayers of all at MTV and Bunim/Murray are with those who lost their lives in this tragedy and their families during this difficult time,” a spokesperson for MTV tells Us in a statement.
