It's always time for Duff! Homer Simpson's ale of choice, Duff Beer, is finally hopping off the small screen and into stores.
According to the Wall Street Journal, an official Duff Beer from 21st Century Fox is on its way to shelves in Chile this week. The brew replaces imitators from unauthorized marketers, which have been trying to sell their own versions of Duff Beer for years.
WSJ reports that the Simpsons-inspired beverage is expected to arrive in Europe and South America later this year following its Chilean launch. For thirsty American fans, Duff Beer is currently available at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Studios Orlando, marketed near the show's rides and attractions.
The beer may soon become available outside of the theme parks in the United States, however, as 21st Century Fox exec Jeffrey Godsick told WSJ, "I think there's potential to have Duff everywhere in the world."
Godsick went on to describe the taste of Duff Beer, telling the newspaper, "It's a premium lager. It's got a very good balance of flavor and refreshment to it. It's fairly deep golden in color. It's got a hint of fruit to it. It's got a caramel aromatic to it."
The introduction of drinkable Duff Beer comes as the cast and crew of The Simpsons prepare for the beloved show's 27th season. Scheduled to hit airwaves on Sept. 27, the new season continues The Simpsons' foothold as the longest-running American sitcom.
