Paul Wesley doesn't just play a hopeless romantic on The Vampire Diaries — he's a bit of a softie in real life, too.
The 29-year-old wed Pretty Little Liars actress Torrey DeVitto in April, and Wesley's been counting his blessings ever since.
"I'm just a very lucky guy — very lucky," Wesley told Us Weekly at Spike TV's Scream Awards on Saturday. "I don't know why she went for me, but somehow a girl liked me for longer than a month!"
The actor — who met DeVitto, 27, on the set of 2008's horror comedy Killer Movie — was hesitant to share details surrounding their spring ceremony. "That's got to remain my own little secret," he said politely.
Wesley was, however, much happier to talk about his role on The Vampire Diaries, currently in its third season. "I love where my character is going," he told Us. "He's gotten really dark. I've been playing this sort of hero for two years and now…it's pretty fantastic."
