Ever get the feeling you're being watched? Artist, photographer, and baker extraordinaire Christine McConnell has created what might just be the coolest-looking haunted house ever.
In anticipation of Halloween later this month, the Deceptive Desserts author transformed her parents' idyllic abode into a monster house, complete with eight giant eyes that seem to follow you wherever you go.
The porch of the house — which is lined with sharp animal-like fangs — acts as a mouth of sorts, always open, and always ready to devour anyone who dares approach. That is, if you're not scared off by the massive spiders hanging from the webbed lampposts in the front yard.
McConnell shared a few photos of her handiwork via Instagram on Sunday, Oct. 18, showing the house bathed in spooky green light at night, and baring its teeth by day. "It's now a Monster House," she captioned one snapshot.
Another photo on her page reveals some of the labor that went into the picture-perfect dwelling. "I painted foam-core insulation board for the eyes and teeth," she wrote alongside a collage of images featuring half-painted chompers and bloodshot eyes.
In fact, McConnell's Instagram feed is chock-full of creepy crafts and Halloween tricks and treats — all scary-good. One set of photos even finds her dressing up as iconic horror story characters like Morticia Addams and The Bride of Frankenstein.
