Todd Harrell's week has just gotten worse. The 3 Doors Down bassist has been "indefinitely" dropped from the band following his Feb. 18 DUI arrest. The band announced the boot in a statement on Thursday, Feb. 20.
"According to accounts in the press yesterday, a long-time member of 3 Doors Down, Todd Harrell, has been arrested in Mississippi in a drug related DUI charge," the group tells Us Weekly. "Last summer, Todd was suspended from the band and not allowed to participate in any 3 Doors Down performances, pending the resolution of criminal charges filed against him last year in connection with an automobile accident."
"Following yesterday's incident, the band has extended Todd's suspension indefinitely," the statement continues. "We take this action to protect the image and integrity of the band and to encourage Todd to address and resolve his problems."
Harrell, 42, was arrested on Feb. 18 in D'lberville, Mississippi for DUI; he previously was booked for DUI in July 2012. Back in April 2013, the musician was charged with vehicular homicide when he clipped a pickup truck in Nashville.
