Loki hottie. Tom Hiddleston hit the 2016 Emmys red carpet in a sharp black tux on Sunday, September 18, reminding Us he’s still an award-nominated hot actor and not just one of Taylor Swift’s ex-boyfriends.
The British hunk — who made headlines over the summer for his short-lived romance with the “Welcome to New York” singer — is nominated for his role in the AMC/BBC crime drama The Night Manager. Hiddleston is up for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for his role as former British soldier Jonathan Pine.
The awards show marks the first official red carpet for the actor since his split from Swift earlier this month.
As exclusively reported by Us Weekly, Hiddleswift broke up after just three months.
“[Taylor] was the one to put the brakes on the relationship," a source close to the couple told Us at the time. "Tom wanted the relationship to be more public than she was comfortable with. Taylor knew the backlash that comes with public displays of affection but Tom didn't listen to her concerns when she brought them up." The insider added that following their split, Hiddleston was "embarrassed that the relationship fizzled out."
The pair went public with their romance just two weeks after Swift called things off with then-boyfriend Calvin Harris.
"It was an intense start," a Hiddleston source previously explained. "No one can keep that kind of momentum going."
