What Tay wants, Tay gets! Tom Hiddleston explained how Taylor Swift convinced him to cut loose at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala in New York City on Monday, May 2.
"I love dancing. Who doesn't? It's a weird one [that it went viral]. I haven't actually danced for a long time, but I happened to be dancing at the Met Gala because it was a party," Hiddleston, 35, told the Press Association on Thursday, May 5.
"I was [at] a table with Taylor Swift, and The Weeknd was playing, and she said, 'The thing about these parties is nobody gets up to dance,'" he continued. "She, as a musician, was like, 'We've got to dance for The Weeknd.' So we got up and danced."
Luckily for Us, it was all caught on camera. Valentino brand ambassador Carlos Souza posted a video on Tuesday of the British actor and Swift, 26, kicking up their heels to T.I.'s 2004 hit "Bring Em Out." (Video of the twosome rocking out to The Weeknd has yet to surface.)
The footage quickly made the rounds online, much to Hiddleston's surprise. "I didn't know it was going to ping round the world," he told the Press Association, "but it's all good."
