She says it's over. Trace Adkins' wife of 16 years, Rhonda Adkins (nee Forlaw), has filed for divorce, Us Weekly has confirmed.
The country superstar's wife cited "irreconcilable differences" in her papers, which were filed Tuesday, March 25. Rhonda requested primary custody of the couple's three girls, MacKenzie, Brianna, and Trinity.
It's been a rough year for the "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk" crooner, 52, who entered rehab for alcoholism back in January, after he got into a cruise ship brawl. Adkins was headlining a seven-day country cruise when he got into a fight with an impersonator who sang one of his songs on karaoke.
Before the incident, Adkins had tweeted, "Up here in my suite, overlooking the pools. Behave yourselves." He has not tweeted since.
Adkins, a Celebrity Apprentice winner, left the rehab center in February to be with his ailing father Aaron. Adkins flew back home to Louisiana from Florida to be with his dad in his final days. After his father's passing, the singer returned to complete his treatment program.
According to Nashville's WSMV, Adkins' wife is asking that he pay child support and alimony, in addition to her legal fees.
