Don’t ask Vanessa Hudgens to bring the turkey to a Thanksgiving feast! At her recent Just Dance–sponsored Friendsgiving luncheon, the 27-year-old confessed her biggest holiday disaster.

“I’m a really bad cook,” she told Us Weekly exclusively. “I tried cooking Thanksgiving dinner a few years ago and realized my turkey was extremely undercooked — and that was already after I had eaten it. Rookie mistake.”

Luckily for her and her guest, it didn’t go as badly as it could have. “Thankfully I didn’t get sick. And it was only two of us at the time, so it’s not like I really had to do it for anyone else except ourselves, so if we messed up it was going to be OK.”

However, Thanksgivings since then have been much sweeter. “I like eating sweet potatoes with marshmallows and brown sugar,” she said of her plans to spend the holiday with her family. “That’s basically it. And watching Lord of the Rings all day, all of them. We don’t sit down and attempt to fully watch all of them, but it’s on throughout the day.”

After dinner, Hudgens can burn off some calories by dancing. “I dance my way through life,” she told Us.

“I started playing Just Dance when it was still for Wii and now it’s on Xbox and it’s grown so much,” she explained. “You can play it on your phone now; there’s music that is hot right now on there — ‘Cheap Thrills’ by Sia, different types of dancing, there is Bollywood dancing on there, which I love. So there is so much more to do on the game now.”
