Southern Charm star Venita Aspen has thoughts on Jenn Fessler denying she ever hooked up with West Wilson.
“I think focusing on your marriage of 27 years and practicing loyalty to that should be your main priority not sending threats via an IG story but what do I know,” Aspen, 32, wrote via her Instagram Story on Saturday, May 9. “Happy Saturday.”
In a follow-up Instagram Story shared the same day, Aspen reposted an Old Navy ad starring Wilson’s ex and Summer House costar, Ciara Miller, and Love Island’s Rob Rausch.
“Now gonna go see what’s up at Old Navy xx,” Aspen wrote over the video.
Aspen’s post came the same day that Fessler, 57, released a statement denying rumors that she and Wilson, 31, were intimate. (Fessler has been married to her husband, Jeffrey, since 1999 and the pair share two children, son Zachary and daughter Rachel.)
“In all seriousness, and while I can’t help but be a little flattered, it is not nice nor is it OK to post something categorically untrue and defamatory on social media,” Fessler wrote via her Instagram Story. “Regardless of whatever rumors or apparent ‘evidence’ led you to that conclusion, that is the definition of libel.”
The statement continued, “If it were true, I would have no recourse. Because it’s a lie, this can get more complicated. Having said that, I hope we can rectify this. It’s enough now.”
Last week, Fessler made headlines when she stuck up for Wilson amid his romance with Miller’s former BFF and fellow Summer House cast member Amanda Batula.
“[West] is the cutest, sweetest golden retriever puppy dog. He does not mean any harm. He didn’t mean it,” Jenn said on the red carpet of Vulture‘s The Masterminds of Reality TV event on Thursday, May 7. “He’s just trying to have a good time. He doesn’t wanna hurt anyone. Give him a break.”
Miller, for her part, reacted to a clip of Fessler’s comments by alleging, “Lol, because they slept together too.”
Fessler, meanwhile, initially responded to Miller’s accusation in a statement to Page Six on Friday, May 8, saying, “It’s flattering that anyone would think someone who slept with Ciara Miller would be interested in sleeping with me.”
Wilson also noted that the rumor was “news to me,” while Miller doubled-down on her statement. While sharing a Summer House photo of Batula via Threads, she added in the caption, “If I send this to you I’m about to lie straight to your face.”
Wilson and Batula confirmed their romance in March, two months after she announced her split from husband Kyle Cooke. Aspen, for her part, weighed in on their relationship.
“Imagine making a statement hard-launching a ‘connection’ and not even considering apologizing to the person you hurt,” Venita wrote via her Instagram Story in March. “But I guess that tracks.”
She followed up the post with an image of Miller with the message “love you” while Dijon’s “The Dress” played in the background.
