Murphy had multiple YouTube channels with millions of followers. He started off his career creating prank videos before switching to fitness and looksmaxxing. (Looksmaxxing is the online practice done primarily among young men that focuses on radically maximizing physical attractiveness.)
In July 2026, Murphy tragically died after drowning in Thailand. He was 32. Several of Murphy’s fans paid their respects to the content creator on his social media page.

Murphy started posting videos on YouTube in 2016 to show off his workout regime and body transformation. In addition to showing off his gym routine, Murphy gave advice on diets and supplements.

As his channel grew, Murphy participated in prank videos where he walked around different places like a local mall or grocery store shirtless and flaunting his muscles. He went viral for his “Fake Shirt Trick” videos where he would wear baggy clothing items to conceal his physique and would tear it off to show off his abs.
Connor Murphy Pivoted to Looksmaxxing Content
In 2026, Murphy started making looksmaxxing videos following the popularity of influencer Clavicular. He uploaded his first looksmaxxing parody video titled “A Day in the Looksmaxxing Life of Mandibleus Zygomidus” in February 2026. At the time, Murphy captioned the clip sharing it was “satire and social commentary intended to highlight and discourage harmful online looksmaxxing trends.”
Murphy continued to parody looksmaxxing for a few months. However, he teased via a June 2026 Instagram post that he was entering a “new era.” The clip featured him at the gym with others as he posed for the camera.
Connor Murphy Died While in Thailand
Local outlets reported in July 2026 that Murphy died after drowning in Thailand. According to the Bangkok Post, authorities in the Samut Prakan province responded to a call of a man acting erratically at a luxury rental property. When law enforcement arrived, Murphy reportedly jumped into a nearby lake and swam for several minutes before drowning. Rescue divers later arrived and recovered Murphy’s body.
Murphy’s death remains under investigation, per the outlet.
