Prinze's problem with Sutherland! In July, Prinze Jr. surprised many — including Sutherland himself — when he told ABC News that it was anything but fun to work with the 24 actor. "I did 24, it was terrible. I hated every moment of it," he said. "Kiefer was the most unprofessional dude in the world." Sutherland's rep later told Us that this was the first time he had "heard of Freddie's grievances" and he "wishes him the best."
One less celebrity BFF! Us broke news in September that John Mayer's exes were no longer friends. Swift confirmed in a revealing Rolling Stone cover story that a famous female artist was the subject of her 1989 song "Bad Blood." After the interview, Perry slammed an unnamed mean girl via Twitter — presumably Swift. "Watch out for the Regina George in sheep's clothing," she wrote, referencing the 2004 comedy.
That's what friends are for! Lorde jumped to Taylor Swift's defense in November when Katy Perry's boyfriend Diplo tweeted that a Kickstarter should be made to get Swift "a booty." (Us broke news one month earlier that Perry and the "Style" singer had a falling out.) Lorde's response? "Should we do something about your tiny penis while we're at it hm." Diplo didn't back down, calling the New Zealand native a "high school student."
Biggest feud ever? TMZ released shocking security footage of Beyonce's younger sister attacking Jay Z at a Met Gala afterparty in May. The reputed reason? He was spotted flirting with designer Rachel Roy at the star-studded bash. The trio later released a family statement, explaining that they've "worked through it" and "both acknowledge their role" in the private matter.
Damaged! Danity Kane split for the second time in August following a studio fight between members O'Day and Richard. "During a recent group meeting, a business conversation took a turn for the worst when my group member punched me in the back of my head," O'Day claimed in a lengthy Twitter post. A source added to Us that the women were "always at odds" and "they couldn't agree on anything."
Walter's pissed! Breaking Bad stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul slammed the company in October after they decided to pull action figures from the AMC series off its shelves. "'Florida mom petitions against Toys 'R Us over Breaking Bad action figures.' I'm so mad, I'm burning my Florida Mom action figure in protest," Cranston joked of the woman who began a petition to remove the toys. Paul added that it was "more damaging" to sell Barbies.
It's getting ugly! Snoop Dogg began what would become a month-long war with the Australian rapper in October when he called her a "c--t" in an Instagram video. He also compared her to Marlon Wayans' character in 2004's White Chicks. After T.I. made Snoop Dogg apologize, Azalea had the last laugh when she showed up to a Halloween party dressed like the gender-bending character.
Lifetime received flack for three of its TV movies in 2014: The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story, The Brittany Murphy Story, and Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B. Saved by the Bell's cast (Mario Lopez, Lark Voorhies) tweeted they wouldn't be watching the movie, which was loosely based on Dustin Diamond's 2009 tell-all book, Behind the Bell. Murphy's estranged father Angelo Bertolotti slammed his late daughter's film. Timbaland, for his part, called Aaliyah's movie "bulls--t." He was a friend and collaborator of the star until her tragic death in 2001.
Make it stop! The former Cheetah Girl resurfaced old wounds when she slammed ex-boyfriend Robert Kardashian for cheating in Latina magazine's September issue — something his famous sisters were not pleased about. "Thought her and I were cool SMH," Khloe wrote, which Rob retweeted. Kim added: "So sad when people try to kick my brother when he is down #FamilyForever." The couple dated from 2007 to 2009.
No happily ever after! Justin Jedlica, known as Human Ken Doll, slammed his counterpart "Human Barbie," Valeria Lukyanova, for being a "dead mannequin" in May. "She was cute, and seemed overall sweet," he told Us of meeting her. "I tried to give her a hug and crack up with her. She wasn't really having it."
Random "problem" over here! Midler caught the pop singer off-guard (and the rest of the world) when she said she had a "silly high voice" and mocked her over-the-top sexual performances. Grande tweeted in response: "Bette was always a feminist who stood for women being able to do whatever the F they wanted without judgement! not sure where that Bette went but i want that sexy mermaid back!!! always a fan no matter what my love." Midler later apologized, calling herself an "old whore."
Will it ever end? The stars have had an ongoing battle since Stewart slammed Paltrow's credibility in 2013 for starting her own lifestyle business Goop. In 2014, it continued when Stewart published a "conscious coupling" pie spread in her mag, dissing the Oscar winner's split announcement with ex Chris Martin. Paltrow countered with a "jailbird cake" on her site a month after hiring Martha Stewart Living's former CEO Lisa Gersh. (Stewart spent time behind bars in 2004 for fraud charges.)
Reality curse! The Jon & Kate Plus 8 exes had opposing views once again when their daughters Mady and Cara refused to speaking during an awkward Today show interview in January. "I feel horrible" for them, Jon said, noting that he doesn't approve of his children on TV anymore. In February, Jon said he hoped his ex-wife would "f---ing" die during an episode of VH1's Couples Therapy with his then-girlfriend Liz Jannetta.
Insane! The stars got into a heated scuffle when Bieber mentioned Bloom's ex-wife Miranda Kerr during a night out at Ibiza hotspot Cipriani in July. (It was rumored that Bieber and Kerr had flirted back in 2012 at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.) "Bieber ducked the punch. He didn't get hit," an insider told Us. "Justin's boys eventually jumped in and got him away."
