The online community honored the lives of several social media influencers who died in 2025.
In April, nursing influencer Hailey Okula died at age 33 after giving birth to her first child. Her husband, Matthew Okula, confirmed that she died from an amniotic fluid embolism (AFE). Dr. Precious Barnes, DO, a family medicine physician specializing in women’s health and fertility, exclusively told Us Weekly that AFE is often “unpredictable” and “extremely rare.”
The next month, the Chandler, Arizona, Police Department confirmed to Us that content creator Emilie Kiser’s 3-year-old son, Trigg Kiser, died after he was pulled unconscious from the family’s backyard pool. While Emilie took a brief social media break after the incident, she broke her silence on Trigg’s death in August.
“We miss him every second of every day and continuing forward often feels unbearable,” she wrote, in part, at the time. “I never thought we would experience grief in this way or the pain of losing him so suddenly.”
The online community also mourned Spanish influencer Jorge García-Dihinx and Nigerian influencer Anda “LazyWrita” Damisa, who both died in December.
