Chloe Moretz's 2013 take on the 1976 classic will be no less bloody — in fact, the teen star told Us Weekly, the crew had a "book of blood" that detailed the different types of ingredients they would use to concoct special effects blood for the film. "We ended up using kid's face paint, which was brilliant!" she said of one variety.
Kim Kardashian is on the hunt for eternal youth! The reality star tried her hand at the latest, zaniest beauty trend this past March, a procedure known as the "vampire facial." During the process, blood is extracted from the patient's arm and then reapplied into their face after being processed through a centrifuge. "I love trying anything that makes you look and feel youthful," she said on the show.
If that won't turn heads on newsstands, we don't know what will! Alexander Skarsgard, Anna Paquin, and Stephen Moyer went completely nude for the cover of Rolling Stone in September 2010, drawing criticism and dropped jaws over the trio's piercing stares and bare, bloody (and sexy!) limbs.
There wasn't anything ladylike about Lady Gaga's costume at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. The button-pushing pop star wore white knee-high boots and a white belly-baring unitard for her performance of "Paparazzi," ending her dramatic performance with blood dripping from her ribcage and caked on her face.
Fanboys beware! Megan Fox tackled some pretty gritty material as a demonic killer cheerleader who eats teenage boys' flesh for fun in 2009's Jennifer's Body. "I think I'm pretty sexy in it," the outspoken actress said during a Comic-Con press conference that year. "The movie is SO sexy! You better put on your sexy shoes for this movie!"
Nothing says "strict orders" quite like a hot Hollywood hunk drenched in blood! Twilight's Kellen Lutz made some spooky demands in a Twitpic in May 2010. In the photo, the actor went shirtless, showing off his impressive abs covered in blood while holding up a sheet of paper with the words "Follow Kellen Lutz" written in "blood." "Trying to get verified… hope this works," Lutz captioned the snapshot.
Just what is going on here?! Tom Felton, perhaps better known as Draco Malfoy in the film adaptations of J.K. Rowling's seven-part Harry Potter series, shared a photo of himself with a bloodied torso on Twitter at the end of a day's filming in March 2009. "Before I finally go to sleep I thought I'd show you the photo from my last day of filming 13 hours!" he captioned the bloody shot.
