Sexy maternity style! Pregnant Chrissy Teigen isn’t giving in to the comforts of roomy loungewear — well, not totally, anyway. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model told Us Weekly that she keeps her husband, John Legend, in mind when she’s dressing down.
If it were up to Teigen, 30, pajamas would be her go-to garment during her entire pregnancy. “When I’m at home, I love to be in a big comfy robe,” Teigen, who is the new face of Tresemmé’s Beauty-Full Volume reverse shampoos and conditioners, told Us during New York Fashion Week February 12.
But she recognizes that cozy doesn’t always make her feel her best. “When I am covered up like that, in this big blanket robe, I don’t personally feel as sexy,” she explained.
Which is why she reaches for something slinkier. “I try to throw on something a little silkier, a little lighter,” she told Us of her signature pregnancy silhouette, which works off the couch too. (Case in point: her Bossa dress and House of CB Duster coat from her Cravings book signing on February 23 in L.A.) “I don’t want John to feel like I’ve given up.”
The Lip Sync Battle cohost doesn’t have to go too far out of her way, though, since Legend revealed to Us in December 2015 that he’s always been attracted to pregnant women. “I told her before that I was always attracted to pregnant women, but I never actually had one myself, so now I’m excited to be with a beautiful, pregnant woman,” he said, laughing.
