A piece of royal history — with a steep price! One of Princess Diana’s most iconic dresses is up for auction, and it’s expected to go for a whopping $145,000.

The dress in question is the late Princess of Wales’ blue, sequined Catherine Walker stunner, with long sleeves, a slight V-neckline, a gathered waistline and a slit up the front. Diana wore the dress on more than one occasion, including during a state visit to Austria in 1986, to the Diamond Ball in 1990 and to the film premiere of Biggles in 1993.

The dress was first auctioned off by Diana herself at Christie’s in NYC in June 1997 — three months before her death at the age of 36 in a car accident in Paris. In 2013, it went on sale again with Kerry Taylor Auctions and sold for $131,000. This time, the dress will be sold on June 14 through the-saleroom.com, an online antiques dealer. The auction house has the dress listed to sell between $117,000 and $145,000.

But it’s not the only piece of the princess’ wardrobe up for sale. Diana’s teal tartan Emanuel B. Couture coatdress, worn when she visited Italy with Princes Charles in 1985, is also up for grabs and for the much more affordable (predicted) starting price of 10,000 pounds (or about $14,000).
