#Memories. On this day, February 26, only one year ago, "The Dress" made its mark on the world.
In case it's not emblazoned in your brain, "The Dress" was a confounding image of a garment that people saw in two different color schemes: black and blue or white and gold. Sometimes, if you stared at the image for long enough, you'd see whatever hues you hadn't been able to see before.
A Tumblr user named Swiked was the first to spot the anomaly back in 2015, posting the picture online and writing, “Guys please help me — is this dress white and gold, or blue and black? Me and my friends can't agree…"
Friends, lovers and families were torn apart by the debate, and the fight over the infamous piece of clothing raged on for hours on Twitter and Facebook. And, after all the chatter, Roman Originals, the company behind the dress — which actually is blue and black — decided to make a white and gold version.
