The classic “rags to riches” tale is a favorite among many, but the truth is that these stories are often just that: stories. This was not the case, however, for entrepreneur Amrinder Kamboj, current owner of four integrated wealth-building ventures. After building significant wealth, he now focuses on creating opportunities for the next generation in memory of his father, who did the same for him.
Finding a Passion in Helping People
The beginning of Amrinder’s entrepreneurial story is a simple one, starting with a high school internship where he discovered his passion for sales and service, eventually leading him to start a brand of his own at 23. Soon thereafter, he pivoted from retail to eCommerce in 2018 upon recognizing an opportunity for growth, resulting in what would become a successful series of international companies.
Amrinder drew much of his inspiration and work ethic from his father, an immigrant from India who, at only 25, left for Germany with nothing to support his family at home. He later immigrated to the United States and, after enduring a period of hardship, built a successful gas station business. It was this immigrant story of transformation that showed Amrinder what was possible with sheer determination alone.
Enduring Headwinds
He later encountered difficulties with his own family, as his rapid growth drew backlash. Their negativity stifled Amrinder’s ability to grow, necessitating that he distance himself from them for two years. Both challenges reinforced his core philosophy: “You can’t fail if you don’t quit. You only fail when you quit.”
Amrinder did receive some much-needed support in the form of his co-founder, Sanjit Shergill, a colleague who went on to help build Kamboj Advisory, a business dedicated to helping entrepreneurs find and develop tax strategies, trust structures and private equity access. Upon getting off the ground, Maritza Garcia, Miguel Barbarosa and Sarvot Bhela worked with Kamboj Advisory in various technical and executive capacities to make it the success it is today.
Managing Success
Today, Amrinder leads XPro Health, XPro Events, XPro Sky Suites and Kamboj Advisory, all of which solve problems he himself has faced, including taxes, a lack of networks, time efficiency and better health.
These ventures also focus on creating reliable monthly passive income, scaling business without burnout and reducing business taxes. In doing so, they exemplify how investing in people creates business momentum and furthers Amrinder’s people-first philosophy.
The success of his ventures also serves as a testament to the power of Amrinder’s collaborative success model. He believes in a collaborative model of leadership and actively helps employees achieve their personal dreams.
As Amrinder and his team continue to develop their businesses, they hope to make significant contributions to global education and health initiatives. Amrinder personally aims to create legacy infrastructure via a network of relationships and opportunities. In doing so, he would leave his son with invaluable relationship capital, a final act of kindness before passing and having the people whose lives he impacted attend his funeral.
