OnlyFans creator Courtney Clenney plans to use her late boyfriend’s text messages as proof of his alleged abuse in her upcoming murder trial.

Clenney, 30, claimed that Christian Obumseli was abusive at least nine times before she was accused of killing him, according to a new filing obtained by The New York Post. In fact, she claimed that he punched her in the face and fractured her ribs in the months before he died in April 2022.

The filing outlines disturbing text exchanges between Clenney and Obumseli, 27, which allegedly prove she was physically and psychologically tormented at the hands of her boyfriend.

Clenney sent one text accusing Obumseli of hitting her “in my face as hard as you could” in April 2021, per the filing. Obumseli allegedly downplayed the claims and responded that he was trying to move her hand and “really didn’t mean” to hit her.

Clenney argued in the filing that the messages show a pattern of Obumseli’s repeated violence against her.

In August 2021, Clenney allegedly texted Obumseli that he had been “punching me in the back” and “attacking me” after they got into another argument.

Her lawyers argued in the filing that the texts were sent immediately after he allegedly attacked her and that they corroborate Clenney’s account that the relationship was abusive.

“Obumseli repeatedly engaged in a pattern of physical violence, intimidation, threats, stalking, controlling behavior, coercive control, manipulation, and emotional abuse,” the court documents state, per the outlet. “Courtney’s testimony will include numerous incidents in which Obumseli Struck, grabbed, shoved, restrained, choked and otherwise committed batteries against her.”

Obumseli was also accused of dislocating Clenney’s shoulder for the “fourth time” during an argument about leaving a pool in September 2021.

“As she reached for the doorknob with her right hand, Obumseli grabbed her left wrist and violently pulled her backward, causing her shoulder to dislocate,” the motion stated.

Another allegation revealed that Obumseli allegedly shoved Clenney forcefully and fractured her ribs during an argument about him smoking weed in Dubai in 2021. The court documents state that Obumseli allegedly got upset when she told him she didn’t want him to smoke due to strict laws in Dubai, which allegedly made him upset.

“Obumseli turned and walked toward the bathroom intending to smoke marijuana. Courtney touched his arm in an effort to turn him around and continue discussing the issue. Obumseli immediately shoved Courtney with such force that she fell onto her side,” the filing stated. “Courtney immediately believed that she had fractured her ribs but did not seek medical treatment while still in Dubai.”

Additionally, Clenney claimed that Obumseli injured her during an incident in Austin, Texas, in January 2022 when he grabbed her arm and injured her “right finger.”

After Obumseli was killed in Miami on April 3, 2022, Clenney was charged with second-degree murder days later on August 10, 2022. She previously said that the killing was in self-defense and claimed she threw a knife at Obumseli in their apartment. She also insisted that she never intended to kill him.

Her murder trial is scheduled to begin in August.
