Michael Desronvil, the holdout juror in Lindsay Clancy’s high-profile triple murder trial, is shedding additional insight into why he refused to vote alongside his 11 fellow jurors.

“There were moments that were tense,” Desronvil, 48, said of the controversial mistrial in a Wednesday, October 14, teaser clip of his upcoming Thursday, October 15, interview with Fox News’ Kayleigh McEnany. “There were moments that were tense as we were deliberating.”

The holdout juror also insisted that he did not have reasonable doubt that Clancy, 36, should not be held criminally responsible for killing her three small children — Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months – in January 2023 while suffering documented postpartum mental health issues.

Desronvil did not, however, offer any additional insight or disclose specific evidence as proof of why he believes Clancy is guilty.

“I had a lot of evidence to back up my claim,” he alleged. “But, because out of respect of the other jurors and the court system, I will put that to sleep for now. Until, you know, they go through the process of the court system.”

While Clancy never denied killing her children, her attorney Kevin Reddington argued throughout the trial that she should not be held criminally responsible for the deaths as a result of her mental illnesses — including postpartum depression, postpartum psychosis and bipolar disorder — and in addition to the alleged over-medication and indifference of her healthcare team.

The prosecution argued that despite Clancy’s well-documented mental health issues, she knew right from wrong when she killed her children and even carried out what the prosecution argued was a cruel, premeditated act.

After Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial on September 4, Reddington seemingly changed his argument and claimed that there’s no proof Clancy killed her children at all.

Clancy and Reddington returned to the Plymouth Superior Court on September 29 for a status hearing. At the time, Reddington asked Judge Sullivan to acquit Clancy on grounds that the prosecution did not present sufficient evidence to prove she was responsible for the murders.

Reddington then argued that the prosecution presented a “total and complete lack of evidence” that she killed her kids.

“I ask the court to look back at the evidence presented and ask yourself, where is the evidence that she did this?” he said.

Also during the hearing, Reddington claimed Clancy had no memory of killing the children when she woke up in the hospital following her suicide attempt after her kids were killed, in which she threw herself out of a second-story window leaving her paralyzed from the waist down. He then pointed out that there was no evidence to indicate she ever confessed to the killings.

It has not yet been determined if the case will go back to trial.
