After a woman was accused of fatally stabbing her husband and 3-year-old son in a hotel room at the Great Wolf Lodge, the husband’s family claimed she resented the boy and never wanted to be a mother.

Metallica Rose Harrison was arrested and charged with two counts of criminal homicide on Monday, October 12, after she allegedly stabbed her husband, Charles Harrison, and their son, according to a probable cause affidavit obtained by People.

Charles, 36, and his son were found dead inside their hotel room at the resort in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains. Authorities learned of the incident when Metallica, 27, reportedly called 911 around 3 p.m. to report that she wanted to die and that her “husband and son are already gone.”

Upon their arrival, authorities learned that Charles had been stabbed multiple times in the chest and the boy was stabbed one single time in the chest. Both the father and son were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said that Metallica was found suffering from wounds to her wrist and neck. The affidavit stated that she allegedly told 911 dispatchers she was “too weak to stab my neck” and she “needed help dying.”

Investigators searched the scene and recovered two knives, which staff members said were not from the resort. Additionally, authorities found several bottles of medication and two containers of what appeared to be blood.

Metallica was then taken into custody, where she “advised officers that she wanted to be with her husband and son.”

Investigators spoke to Charles’ relatives on the night of the killings, and they shared that the couple had experienced relationship issues, according to a search warrant obtained by WGAL.

Charles’ sister, Melissa Rivera, claimed that Metallica resented her son and “never wanted to get pregnant.”

Metallica also allegedly complained that her son took away her “one-on-one time” with Charles.

The family went on to claim that Metallica was “dominant” and “controlling,” and she allegedly isolated her husband and their son from the rest of his family after they got married.

Metallica, Charles and their son arrived at the resort on September 21, and they extended their reservation on October 5, according to the affidavit. Their most recent reservation stated that they would checkout on Tuesday, October 13.

It is not currently clear whether Metallica has entered a plea or retained legal counsel following her arrest. She is next scheduled to appear in court for a hearing on October 21.
