A former high school teacher in Texas was arrested on unrelated charges after she was accused of having inappropriate relationships with students.

The Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office announced that Holly Adams has been charged with one count of tampering with evidence and two counts of purchasing or furnishing alcohol to a minor.

Adams was arrested on Tuesday, August 25, and was released that same day after she posted a $26,000 bond. She no longer is employed with the Angleton Independent School District, a spokesperson confirmed in a statement to Fox News Digital.

The investigation into Adams, who taught at Angleton High School, began in August 2025 after a student told school staff that she was having an inappropriate relationship with a former student, according to KTRK-TV.

The informant claimed that the victim called him via FaceTime during summer break from a bedroom in Adams’ house. He added that the bed was allegedly covered in nude photos of her, while another photo allegedly showed Adams cuddling with the former student.

The tampering offense reportedly took place in August 2025. Two days before she allegedly committed the crime, sheriff’s office deputies served Adams a warrant at her home and seized four cell phones, 11 nude photos and a photo book of nude photos, per the outlet.

Adams was also accused of having other inappropriate relationships with students, who she allegedly invited to her home to perform chores. Additionally, she allegedly admitted to school administrators that she communicated with three members of the school’s baseball team on Snapchat.

Despite the accusations regarding her inappropriate relationships with students, Adams has not been charged with improper relationship between educator and student. The charge is what authorities said they were investigating when they issued the search warrant in August 2025.

It’s not currently clear if Adams has entered a plea or retained legal counsel following her arrest. The Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to Us’ request for comment regarding the case.

Attorney Jed Silverman, who is not representing Adams, told KTRK-TV that it’s possible Adams could face other charges once investigators go through her phone.

“What the search warrant does is it gives the police officer, law enforcement permission to get into the phone, and it takes a little while,” Silverman said.

The investigation into the case remains ongoing.
