Who Is Chris Watts’ New Girlfriend Lizzie Henderson?
Henderson has not shared much about her personal life, but she did reveal she works as a licensed realtor. While she previously lived in Ohio, she relocated to Wisconsin to be closer to Chris as he serves his sentence at Dodge Correctional Institution in Waupun.
It’s not currently known when she moved states, but her Zillow profile states that she has one year of experience working as a realtor in Wisconsin.
Inside Chris Watts and Lizzie Henderson’s Romance
While speaking to the Daily Mail in August 2026, Henderson confirmed that she was in a relationship with Chris and admitted that she knew some people may view their romance as “weird.”
Henderson also told the outlet that Chris is now a born-again Christian, though she did not disclose any details about how they met or when their relationship turned romantic.
“How things began is between me, him and God,” she teased.
Henderson seems to be serious about having a future with Chris, and she even applied to legally change her name to Lizzie Watts in September 2025, according to court documents seen by the Daily Mail.
She acknowledged that she is aware of Chris’ crimes, and she said that he “knows how I feel.” She went on to say that she didn’t “know all the people involved, but I would want to respect them.”
While Henderson is not physically allowed to live with Chris, she revealed she visited him 20 times in 2025 and they even spent Christmas Day together in 2024.
Chris Watts and Lizzie Henderson Are Planning to Get Married
The couple sparked marriage rumors when Henderson was photographed wearing a ring on her wedding finger. Meanwhile, her former stepfather told the Daily Mail that the couple submitted a marriage request to prison officials.
Additionally, Henderson and Chris were spotted kissing just one day after the seventh anniversary of when he killed his wife and kids.
The couple has been spotted packing on the PDA, and prison visitor Lisa Johnson told the Daily Mail that she saw Chris and Henderson making out during a visit in August 2025.
Johnson said that Chris was holding a Bible as he spoke to Henderson, while Henderson appeared “googly-eyed” and seemed “really excited to take a picture with him.”
She added that Chris and Henderson “hugged their whole ten seconds while they were kissing” goodbye.
DCI protocols prohibit physical contact between prisoners and loved ones until the end of the visit, and they are only allowed to embrace for 10 seconds while saying goodbye. Additionally, conjugal visits are not at the prison.

Chris was convicted of killing Shanann and their daughters, Bella and Celeste, in August 2018. He eventually pleaded guilty to the murders in November 2018, and he was sentenced to serve five consecutive life sentences.
