‘All’s Fair’ Season 2 Pokes Fun at Kim Kardashian Failing the Bar Exam: ‘Didn’t Pass on My 1st Try’

Ryan Murphy‘s All’s Fair is almost back for season 2 — and the trailer shows Kim Kardashian poking fun at herself for failing the bar exam.

Hulu released the official first look on Wednesday, October 7, featuring Allura (Kardashian), Liberty (Naomi Watts), Emerald (Niecy Nash-Betts), Milan (Teyana Taylor) and Dina (Glenn Close) as they face off against Carr (Sarah Paulson) once again.

The group finds time to celebrate some personal milestones, however, when Milan passes the California bar. In the sneak peek, Allura admits, “I didn’t pass on my first try.”

All’s Fair, which premiered in November 2025, follows an all-female law firm. In addition to the star-studded main cast, season 1 featured appearances from Matthew Noszka, O-T Fagbenle, Kathleen Garrett, Ed O’Neill, Judith Light, Steven Pasquale, Tamara Taylor and Lorraine Toussaint. The guest cast also included Elizabeth Berkley, Grace Gummer, Brooke Shields and more.

Less than a month after its premiere, Hulu renewed the show and revealed it was “the biggest Hulu original scripted series premiere in 3 years,” according to the first three days of streaming. The series launched at No. 1 on the Hulu Top 15 Today list and had “maintained a spot every day since” its debut.

All’s Fair marked an accomplishment for Kardashian, 45, who has been balancing her entertainment career with a years-long attempt to become an attorney. After previously passing the “baby bar” exam, Kardashian said she had plans to take the official test.

“In California, the way I’m studying law you need to take 2 bar exams, this was just the first one but with the harder pass rate,” she wrote via Instagram in 2021. “I was told by top lawyers that this was a close to impossible journey and harder than the traditional law school route but it was my only option and it feels so so sooooo good to be here and on my way to achieving my goals.”

Kardashian continued: “I know my dad would be so proud and he would actually be so shocked to know that this is my path now but he would have been my best study partner. I am told he was notorious for making fun of people who didn’t pass on their first attempt like he did, but he would have been my biggest cheerleader!”

The reality star recently offered an update on her ongoing journey.

“Six years into this law journey, and I’m still all in until I pass the bar,” she wrote via Instagram in 2025. “No shortcuts, no giving up — just more studying and even more determination. Thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged me along the way so far. Falling short isn’t a failure — it’s fuel. I was so close to passing the exam and that only motivates me even more. Let’s Go!!!!!!!!!”

Kardashian said she already had a vision for practicing law once she gets her license, sharing on the U.K.’s Graham Norton Show, “I will be qualified in two weeks. I hope to practice law. Maybe in 10 years, I think I’ll give up being Kim K. and be a trial lawyer. That’s what I really want.”

All’s Fair returns to Hulu on Wednesday, November 4.
