Talk about scary! The new teasers for the latest season of FX's American Horror Story will give you nightmares — and the series isn't even debuting until October.
The latest two promo spots for American Horror Story: Hotel feature characters from the new season, according to Entertainment Weekly, which debuted the clips. The first 15-second video shows someone pounding on a door, but through the peephole is a tormented man with skin covering his eyes, nose, and mouth.
The second teaser shows a bald man sleeping in clown makeup as a gloved hand with metallic talons grabs his throat.
Sharp nails are a piece of imagery from the season that we've seen before — the first promo for the Season 5 featured a silver hand with long, pointy nails ringing a bell at a hotel check-in desk.
Hotel will feature many of the series' recurring players, including Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Denis O'Hare, Finn Wittrock, and more — along with newcomer Lady Gaga in her AHS debut as a Los Angeles hotel owner stuck in a love triangle with Wittrock's and Bassett's characters.
"Her character name is Elizabeth," creator Ryan Murphy revealed of the singer's role in the series. "She owns the hotel, and she is sort of a very wealthy social doyenne who is consumed with art and fashion and people," he spilled. "She has a nefarious plan that is revealed in the first episode."
AHS: Hotel debuts Oct. 7 on FX.
