That sweater, though! Kaitlyn Bristowe may have shattered Ben H.'s heart during The Bachelorette on Monday, July 13, but there are plenty of ladies who are willing to pick up the pieces. Fans of Bristowe's third runner-up (real name: Ben Higgins) are hoping that he will be named the next Bachelor.

The 26-year-old Denver, Colo., native has a lot going for him. Besides those crazy adorable dimples(!), he's a software salesman, can make a girl laugh while discussing the birds and the bees, and, oh yeah, has plenty of cable-knit sweaters to cuddle up in.

Bristowe sent Higgins home on Monday night's episode, leaving Shawn Booth and "the other guy" Nick Viall as her final two. Bachelor Nation was upset to see Higgins go, but even fellow alums think he might get another 15 minutes of fame.

"If @benhiggi is the next bachelor- they better cast the best of the best for that guy! Wow. What a gem!" Chris Soules' former runner-up Becca Tilley tweeted.

Season 6 Bachelorette, Ali Fedotowsky, added: "Watching Ben kiss Kaitlyn is basically just a preview for the next season of #TheBachelor. He'll totally be the Bachelor, right?"

Andi Dorfman's ex-fiance also chimed in. "Uh oh, my little brother Ben got eliminated?? Doesn't 3rd place always get the bachelor gig?" Josh Murray tweeted. "Big W there, hopefully he finds a good one!"

Higgins, however, has yet to sign on the dotted line. "Conversations haven't happened yet," he told Entertainment Tonight. "The opportunity is a great one and from a 30,000 foot view I would have to consider it."
