Even a Bachelorette alum who knows what it’s like to get the villain edit is not on Team Chad. Us Weekly spoke exclusively to several members of Bachelor Nation at the Foxwoods Resort Casino on Saturday, May 28, and one of them in particular is not impressed by Chad, who is among the men competing on season 12 for JoJo Fletcher‘s final rose.
The Bachelorette season 11’s JJ Lane was not always portrayed in a flattering light during his stint competing for Kaitlyn Bristowe‘s affections. He clashed with several of the guys, including former bestie Clint Arlis, not to mention that Lane memorably told the Bachelorette during a two-on-one date that he had been unfaithful to his wife.
However, he did not mince words in telling Us exactly what he thinks of Chad, particularly regarding a promo that shows the polarizing season 12 participant threatening to track down another contestant after they leave the show.
“Chad, I think you’re a f–king d–khead!” Lane tells Us. “You wouldn’t have survived with me and Clint in the house, I’ll tell you that much. The thing with him is you threaten to come to somebody’s house, he’s f–king sitting right in front of you. If you got something to say, tell him — or if you got something to do, do it right there. No need to wait till the show is done to hunt him down.”
“I think Chad is a bit of a blowhard,” Lane continues. “I honestly don’t think Clint or myself or even Chris Soules for that matter, like there’s certain guys in this world they kind of don’t put up with the bulls–t. He kind of preyed on guys that did.”
Meanwhile, The Bachelor season 19’s Ashley Iaconetti tells Us that Fletcher’s array of guys have yet to knock her socks off.
“I think there’s never gonna be any group of guys that compares to Kaitlyn Bristowe’s group of guys,” the Bachelor in Paradise season 2 alum says. “I so far am not impressed with them as a whole. There’s a couple cuties, but we don’t know much about their personalities yet.”
Tell Us: What do you think of Chad so far?
The Bachelorette airs on ABC Mondays at 8 p.m. ET.
