Beyonce doesn’t need heels to reach the higher ground! The pop diva, 33, took the stage at the Stevie Wonder: Songs in the Key of Life — An All-Star Grammy Salute to perform a nine-minute medley of Wonder’s songs, including “Fingertips,” “Master Blaster (Jammin’),” and “Higher Ground.” The show was taped on Feb. 10, but aired on Monday, Feb. 16.
Belting her high notes and grooving to the beat, Queen Bey brought the star-studded audience to its feet. Halfway through, she introduced British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran to the stage.
Sheeran’s face got as red as his hair as Beyonce danced around (can you blame him?), and sang alongside him. It was an unlikely pairing, but together the two blended their juxtaposing sounds into a beautiful duet.
Toward the end of the block, Beyonce welcomed Texas native Gary Clark Jr. for “Higher Ground” to close out the bluesy, soulful performance.
