Caila Quinn told Us Weekly exclusively at the Women Tell All taping last month in Hollywood that she couldn’t picture herself as the next Bachelorette.

“It’s definitely something I would think about,” Quinn, 24, told Us on February 27. “I did fall in love with this process before … but I definitely need some time.” At the taping, Quinn said outright that her personality didn’t exactly fit the bill.

“I just don’t think that I’m that kind of person,” she told Us. “I’m just a normal person. That’s why.”

Within one week of the interview, Bachelor Ben Higgins‘ second runner-up may have decided to go for it. As previously reported by Us, the software sales rep was followed around by cameras in her hometown of Hudson, Ohio, on Friday. An observer told Us that the likely next lead of ABC’s beloved franchise was “filming her Bachelorette intro package.” ABC has yet to confirm who will be the next Bachelorette.

Prior to the decision, Quinn weighed the pros and cons of returning to the franchise. “I feel like it would mean a lot to have guys who actually are interested in you come to the table and have intentions of marriage at the end,” she told Us last month. “Because a lot of people date right now not knowing whether that person that they’re with really wants to marry them, and so this is a clear kind of situation.”

There is, however, one big con — or risk. “That I get my heart broken again,” she told Us. “That I open up to people who will waste my time and hurt me. It’s really scary.”

As Bachelor fans know, Higgins sent the sweet Boston resident packing after their overnight date, during which they presumably slept together. Quinn, who was under the pretense that she had a strong connection with Higgins, even told the Bachelor that she loved him. Unfortunately for her, Bachelor Ben was in love with the other two contestants, JoJo Fletcher and Lauren Bushnell.

“I really was not expecting him to tell me that I’m going home, so it was really hard to be blindsided in that way,” she told Us at Women Tell All. “It probably would have been a lot easier if he didn’t tell me that he was in love with the two other women, yes, because, I kind of thought in the car ride home, ‘Why not me?’ … But at the end of the day, I’m just happy that he’s happy, and he’s in love with that one person that he’s meant to be with.”

The Bachelor: Women Tell All airs on Monday, March 7, at 8 p.m. EST. Watch Higgins’ season trailer above!
