But only if there's sweet potatoes and milk! Chad Johnson threw his hat in the ring to be the next Bachelor following JoJo Fletcher's season 12 Bachelorette finale on Monday, August 1. Watch the amazing moment in the video above!

Johnson, 28, interrupted newly engaged Fletcher, 25, as she was chatting with host Chris Harrison on the After the Final Rose special. The meat-loving troublemaker butted in while Harrison, 45, asked who Fletcher thinks should be the next Bachelor.

"Not Chad!" she teased when she saw Johnson stand up in the audience. The former contestant grinned and turned red before making his case to follow in the footsteps on Ben Higgins as the 20th star of the ABC franchise.

"There's probably a lot of people out there that think I'm a bad guy because of the way that I was on the show. When they watch Bachelor in Paradise, it'll probably only be amplified," he said. "I made some mistakes. I've been through a lot this last year. I lost my mom. One of the things they didn't show on the show is I'm also a Marine. I think that a lot to of people, they deserve love. I think I deserve love. So I think maybe I deserve to be the next Bachelor."

Johnson's plea received both cheers and boos from the crowd. "I feel it's mixed emotions at best," Harrison said.

Johnson became a standout during Fletcher's season for his ruthless behavior. He often fought with housemate Evan Bass (and tore his shirt!) and at one point even needed a bodyguard. Fletcher eventually sent him home and chose to give Jordan Rodgers her final rose over runner-up Robby Hayes. The couple are still happily engaged.
