Don't get on her bad side! Charlize Theron plays a villain named Cipher in the upcoming Fast and the Furious movie, Fast 8 — and she's not playing games.
The franchise's official Twitter account released the first photo of the Oscar winner, 40, in character on Friday, May 20. In the pic, she rocks a black leather jacket and Metallica T-shirt, and keeps her blonde locks swept up in a ponytail.
"Our crew has faced former military, mercenaries & more. Now they meet Cipher (@CharlizeAfrica). #F8 #FastFridays," the caption reads.
Last month, the franchise announced that Theron would be joining the latest installment. She will be starring alongside vets Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Dwayne Johnson and newcomer Scott Eastwood.
Eastwood announced his involvement on April 11. He penned a heartfelt Instagram post about the new gig and paid tribute to his late friend Paul Walker, who played Brian O'Conner in the movies. (Walker died in a car accident at the age of 40 in November 2013.)
"Paul was a close friend of mine. We surfed together, traveled together, and he was a huge role model and influencing figure in my life when I was younger. He still is. He was an older brother to me. For me to be able to add to the F&F story, Paul’s story, and the FAST family is like a dream come true," he wrote at the time. "Gary Gray and Neal Moritz – I can’t wait to get started and dive in. Vin [Diesel] – thank you for the support and the insight. Paul – I am going to make you proud. #F8."
Fast 8 hits theaters on April 17, 2017.
