Could this be Cheryl Burke's last spin around the ballroom? The veteran Dancing With the Stars pro, 30, said on Good Morning America this week that she wants to leave the ABC show after its current season, which premiered on Monday, Sept. 15.
"As of now, this is probably going to be my last season," she shared. "I started when I was 20. I'm 30. I feel like I just want to try new things and just see what's out there."
Burke, who has been on DWTS since 2006, won her first Mirrorball in season two, with 98 Degrees boy bander Drew Lachey. She won again in season three with former pro football player Emmitt Smith, and has finished twice in second place, with Gilles Marini and Rob Kardashian. She also has three third-place finishes, with Cristian de la Fuente, William Levy, and Jack Osbourne.
This season, Burke is paired with former soap star and Calvin Klein underwear model Antonio Sabato Jr. They were the first to dance on the season 19 premiere, and performed a foxtrot to Enrique Iglesias' "Tonight I'm Lovin' You."
The judges — Len Goodman, Julianne Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli — loved Sabato's personality, but had some issues with his footwork. "It's obvious you've got dancing in your blood. Unfortunately, it hasn't reached your feet," Goodman quipped. Added newbie Hough: "Beautiful, beautiful smile…but I would have to agree with Len. It was a little flat-footed."
