There’s no question the competition at Abby Lee Miller‘s Abby Lee Dance Company is more than cutthroat, and on the season 4 premiere of Lifetime’s hit series, Payton’s mom Leslie is learning that the hard way. In a sneak preview from Dance Moms‘ New Year’s Day premiere, Leslie begins to feel the heat when Abby Lee auditions new members for the team, worrying that her daughter could get the cut from the squad.
When an agitated Leslie begins to fight with Abby in front of Holly and the other moms, Abby goes to great lengths to stand up for ALDC and her reputation.
“Sometimes I have to speak in simple terms,” she tells Leslie in the explosive clip above. “This is a dance competition, I am a dance teacher — it is not your place [to protest Payton’s placement on the team]. Pay your bill for the rest of the year and go!”
“Don’t worry — we’re gone,” counters Leslie, telling Abby for good measure to “kiss my a–.”
Leaving the backstage area in a huff, Leslie breaks down in tears in front of Lifetime cameras when she recounts the childish behavior she just witnessed. “I’m done with the studio — I can’t stand these women!” she fumes. “It’s so high school.”
