Guys, remember The WB? Well, ABC Family is giving fans a little taste of the now-deceased channel starting this summer. The network that’s home to Pretty Little Liars will now host two of the biggest ‘90s dramas — Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Dawson’s Creek.
That’s right, fans can watch the Scooby gang fight the Big Bads, while Pacey and Dawson fight for Joey’s heart all summer. The reruns will begin airing on Monday, June 22, and will become part of the network’s weekday lineup.
Dawson’s Creek will first air episodes on June 22 at 12 p.m. ET, while Buffy is set to premiere at 5 p.m. ET on the same day.
What makes this news even more exciting is that fans will get the opportunity to vote for their favorite episodes (“Once More With Feeling,” anyone?!), and the winners will air during the premiere week, which will be called “Fan Favorite Week.”
After the fan picks, ABC Family will start both series from the beginning on Monday, June 29, in the same time slots.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer debuted in 1997 and aired for seven seasons through 2003. Similarly, Dawson’s Creek premiered in 1998 and ran for six seasons through 2003.
